Nearly 40 years after the Ghostbusters saved New York, Egon Spengler's granddaughter discovers a hidden bunker beneath an old farm house and teams up with his awkwardly mute ghost to save the world.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is a "requel" that is bursting with nostalgia while also putting a new, and (slightly) more intense spin on the franchise drawing inspiration (and cast members) from shows like Stranger Things.
With Paul Rudd acting as an anchor to the campy humor of the original, and a complete lack of references to 2016's flop of a reboot, Afterlife is the Ghostbusters revival you've been waiting for.
